SCHOLAR DESCRIPTION

Destiny Casa, born in Malta in 2005, began ballet training at the age of five. Over the years, she expanded her expertise in classical ballet, neoclassical and contemporary. Her dedication and talent earned her numerous prestigious scholarships and acceptances to masterclasses and summer intensives at renowned institutions such as the American Ballet Theatre, Ellison Ballet, Steps on Broadway, Royal Ballet, English National Ballet, Danceworks International Ballet, the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg, Brussels International Ballet, and the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow.

She was invited to attend final auditions for the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, Hamburg Ballet, and received a direct entry offer from the Brussels International Ballet. However, she chose to prioritise her studies, completing secondary school before embarking on full-time vocational training.

In 2021, during her final year of secondary school, Destiny auditioned for vocational ballet schools and chose New York’s Joffrey Ballet School, where she began her BFA Ballet training in September. In her first year, she was also part of the Joffrey Ballet concert group, gaining profound performance experience. Throughout her time at Joffrey, she has performed in various prestigious theatres across New York City, showcasing her skills on prominent stages.

Now in her final year of the four year program, she is thankful for the numerous opportunities she's had to perform and advance as a professional dancer.
