Andrea Riolo

SCHOLAR DESCRIPTION

Andrea is currently a professional dancer with Birmingham Royal Ballet. She has just finished reading a Bachelor of Arts Honors Degree in Classical Ballet and Dance Performance at the world-renowned Royal Ballet School in London and through the University of Roehampton where she obtained a distinction. Through the years Andrea has obtained a wide exposure to dance training by a few of the finest schools in the world including the Royal Ballet School in London, Bolshoi in Moscow and Vaganova in St. Petersburg. Andrea is current in the 2nd year of this pre-vocational training. Numerous performances including performances in the Royal Opera house and Opera Holland Park, solo at the famous Hermitage Theatre in St. Petersburg, solos in successful international competitions like YAGP in Paris, various roles in full length ballets, some of which alongside principal dancers from the Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera house, Bolshoi and Royal Swedish Ballet at MCC, Pjazza Teatru Rjal and others. Her ambition is to perform as a professional dancer with a rounded experience in performance, choreography and creating original pieces, perform in famous theatres and ultimately share the knowledge and experience in Malta to nurture the appreciation of this great art form in our home country.
