Winning Gold at the International Global Dance Open

In 2024, I achieved one of my proudest milestones by winning gold at the international Global Dance Open. Competing in the solo Contemporary section, I placed first in the semi-finals held in Malta in February, which earned me a spot in the finals in the Netherlands in July. The final round brought together dancers from 36 countries, and I’m thrilled to say that I won the contemporary solo final, bringing home a gold medal for both myself and Malta.

This accomplishment means a lot to me, especially because I was also preparing for my GCSE exams at the time. Balancing the intense dance training with my academic responsibilities was challenging, but I managed to pass my GCSEs with flying colours. This experience showed me that with hard work and determination, I can pursue my passion for dance while excelling academically
