Global Dance Open Competition 2024

I was permitted to attend the Global Dance Open finals 2024 in the Netherlands after winning first place in the Malta qualifier in March 2024 in all my entries. Along with coming in first place with over 90 points in both the ballet and neoclassical intermediate category in Malta, I won a scholarship to all Joffrey Ballet School 2024 summer intensives, acceptance and special consideration for scholarship to the 2024/25 full-time year-round Joffrey Ballet School Contemporary Course and a direct entry award to Yorkshire Ballet Seminars Summer Intensive 2024. The two entries I performed were a ballet repertoire performed en pointe and a self-choreographed neo classical solo en pointe.

During the Finals, I was able to compete with my solos in the upper division, which is a special category for all soloists who have qualified for the finals with more than 90 points in their entry. I was selected to dance with the Grand Defile on the night of the Gala, showcasing the best dancers present at the competition. This was my second year competing in the Global Dance Open Finals and once again it was a wonderful experience in which I got to learn from teachers and fellow dancers from all over the world.
