Doctorate in Music Education

In July 2024, Samuel was awarded a doctorate in Music Education by the Royal College of Music for his analytic work in music education and policy. Titled ‘Unsettling Necessities’, Samuel's doctoral research interrogates intersections between secondary level music education and curricular policy in Malta, scrutinising issues relating to accessibility, equity of opportunity, and existing spaces for educators and researchers to foster critical dialogue and collaborative curricular growth.
